Intervision

jessica shinnick intervisie group session

Do you work in a helping profession and want to learn from and with colleagues? In a small group, you discuss challenging work situations—not to get answers, but to look deeper together. Intervision strengthens your professional identity and increases your professional agency.

Would you like to start with your team or professional peers? In a brief conversation, we will look at group size, frequency, and facilitation.

My Method

A programme consists of a minimum of 5 sessions, so you know exactly what to expect.

STEP 1

Introduction

A free consultation in which we explore what you are looking for and whether my approach is a good fit.

Step 2

Working Agreements and Methodology

Kick-off session with the group—focused on introductions, exploring goals and expectations, and agreeing on ground rules, methods, and practical matters.

Step 3

Intervision trajectory

In each meeting, a participant brings forward their own work situation; I safeguard the process, depth, and methodology.

Step 4

Continuing Independently

You can then continue without facilitation, or we can schedule a follow-up series.

Frequently asked questions

In facilitated intervision, a group of equal colleagues reflect together under the guidance of a facilitator, whereas individual supervision is a one-to-one process in which a qualified supervisor guides your personal professional development.

An intervision facilitator safeguards the process and the safety of the group, so that participants reach their own insights through structured reflection and targeted questions—without giving substantive advice or judgement themselves.

Intervision focuses on structured reflection on one’s own performance, guided by fixed ground rules and without hierarchy, whereas a team meeting or work briefing is primarily aimed at practical coordination, decision-making, and work progress.
